Happy 5 Year Anniversary Grindr!!

On March 25, 2014, Grindr turned 5 years old.

Since their inception in 2009, Grindr has taken the world by storm, experiencing explosive growth with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android and BlackBerry users in 192 countries. To date, they have more than five million active monthly users on the app and their daily chat messages have topped 38+ million. Not to mention the number of Grindr photos sent has jumped to over 3.1 million a day, and has been downloaded more than 10 million times! 

To celebrate the 5 year milestone, their massive user base was surveyed to learn about the habits and trends among the guys that use the app. Users got personal and shared their meet-up history, favorite feature on a guy, and more.

1. beauty
2. sexual attractiveness
3. social skills (like grace, charm, and flirting)
4. liveliness (a mixture of physical fitness, social energy and good humor)
5. social presentation (including dress, jewelry and other such adornments)
6. sexuality itself competence, energy, imagination)
