Solar Tsunami Waves hurled a coronal mass ejection towards Earth this last weekend!

Close-up of magnetic solar filament erupting during the early hours of February 24, 2012. Notice closer to the surface the solar atmosphere splits and waves of solar material fan out in opposite directions from the split (almost 248,500 miles long), like tsunami waves.
